Brad after pre-judging in front of the Marine Corps Hummer

Loomis competes in Muscle Madness 2004

The Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego California was the site of Muscle Madness 2004.  This would by far be the toughest competition yet for 2x ABA/INBA Natural Body Building Champion Brad Loomis.  Approximately 30 body builders showed for the first competition hosted by the San Diego M.C.R.D.  The majority of the men competing in the “open” division measured into the middle height class.  The first round of the event was pre-judging and only the top five would move on to the second round to compete for the win later that evening.  Loomis was solidly in the top five advancing him to the evening show.

400+ spectators came to watch the show which began once the judges got one final look at the competitors.  Then the music started playing and it was time for the showdown.  The competitors jockeyed for position in front of the stage to show the judges what they had and after two minutes, they were all exhausted.

One by one the final placings were called out and the third name to be called was Loomis placing him third among the top five competitors.  This is the last event Loomis will be competing in this year.  Preparation for the shows began in February of this year and he would like to thank all his friends, family, clients, and most importantly his wife for all the support.
