Jeff Ward grabbed the top spot in the 2004 Healthy Body Challenge by losing a record
19 lbs of body fat in only 10 weeks.
Jeff bettered the old record of 14 1/2 pounds of fat set by last years Healthy Body Challenge Champ Mary Frazier by 5 1/2
pounds. Jeff managed to execute a sound and effective nutritional
plan and actually gain strength, and therefore muscle, to make a dramatic change in his physique. What is even more impressive is that Jeff accomplished this feat after having recovered from serious injuries
in a motocross accident. Jeff fractured his left humerus, right wrist, and while
competing in the challenge, fractured his finger. Jeff was not to be denied though
as his determination drove him to a complete recovery and fitter, healthier body. Jeff is pictured with his wife Carmen.
Carmen won this years 8 week Time for Talk is Up Challenge by losing 10 1/2 pounds of fat.

Shirley Ward dropped 14 ½ pounds of fat in this years
10 week Healthy Body Challenge and placed second as a result. 14 1/2 pounds would have
won last years HBC, but Shirleys nephew Jeff managed to set anew high mark. Success must run in the family as
her daughter, Christina Ross, has placed second in the Healthy Body Challenge for the last two years. Shirley continues to look great as she has stuck with her program with consistent, heavy weight training
every week and supporting her efforts with sound nutrition. Erin Roney, Shirleys best friend, also executed
a very effective plan over the 10 weeks and lost 12 pounds of fat to place third. She bettered her husband, Ron Page, by 2 pounds for the bragging rights. Erin managed to squeeze in
consistent heavy weight training, 155# squats, and intense cardio, 7:25 mile, into an already
hectic schedule. As a result she got into the shape of her life looking literally
like a professional athlete. She still trains every week and has kept 95% of
her nearly athletic shape
